Vaccinating seniors should be every government’s priority
Kudos to our provincial health officials for heeding the advice of Dr. Samir Sinha and other doctors to modify the provincial priority list for vaccinations. It is well-documented that Israel’s and some U.S. states’ prioritizing of older seniors has drastically reduced the hospitalization and death rates.
Furthermore, the available Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have proved effective for seniors as opposed to some other vaccines, such as AstraZeneca, which have not had seniors results included in their data. It makes sense to get the former into the arms of seniors quickly before we have to rely on other vaccines.
