The new Leafs: Extra depth at all positions

❭ Nick Foligno: The 33-year-old forward was captain of the Blue Jackets before Sunday night’s swap for firstand fourth-round draft picks. Suomela has split the last three seasons between the Sharks and their AHL affiliate. He has 15 points in 51 NHL games. In the AHL, he’s had 35 points in 71 games, plus an assist in two Calder Cup playoff contests.

❭ Stefan Noesen: The 28-yearold forward was part of the three-way Foligno trade, with San Jose receiving a fourthround pick and picking up part of Foligno’s salary. Noesen has 54 points in 204 NHL games and one playoff goal in four post-season contests. He was drafted 21st overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2011.
