Under Ford, education funding isn’t a priority

-

Re Ontario high school teachers’ union launches preelection attack ad against Doug Ford, April 15

Bravo to the teachers for speaking out against the Conservatives for their neglect of public education.

Premier Doug Ford has attacked teachers for years.

Basic repairs to school buildings have not been made. Class sizes are larger than promised in the initial pandemic plan. Students’ mental health is worsening.

Education is an investment in Ontario’s future and is instrumental in combating income inequality. Education is not a business, but an integral part of communities and civil society.

Funding should be a provincial priority.
