Queen's Plate field

The 162nd running of the Queen's Plate goes today at Woodbine Racetrack, post time 5:42 p.m. (TV: CTV/TSN). The 13-horse field includes Woodbine Oaks winner Munnyfor Ro. At least one Oaks starter has run in the Plate every year since 2008 and four of those fillies have gone on to win: Inglorious, Lexie Lou, Holy Helena and Wonder Gadot. Morning-line favourite Keep Grinding was purchased for $13,000 in 2019. For the first time since before the pandemic, fans will be allowed to attend the Plate.
