Vaccines and the process that led to them are not risky at all
You are far, far more likely to die from many things than you are from complications from getting vaccinated: driving, smoking, crossing the street, drinking, owning a gun, the effects of the sun, mosquitoes, or COVID-19, itself. Were the vaccines developed in record time? They were working on a SARS vaccine, but have too few cases to test on.
COVID vaccines had hundreds of thousands of cases to test on, which saved a lot of time.
Also, pharmaceutical companies gambled and prepped in advance for high production.
Is that so bad? Is it new technology? The Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca vaccines are made by modifying a mild cold virus to look like the far more dangerous COVID-19.
