Man arrested for third antisemitic assault
Toronto police have arrested a man facing charges for alleged antisemitic attacks for at least the third time this year, a Jewish advocacy organization says.
In the latest alleged incident Saturday, a man approached a woman sitting on the subway platform at Lawrence station, struck up a conversation and assaulted her until a passerby intervened, police said.
The suspect fled the area but was arrested the next day, police added.
Michael Park, 32, of no fixed address, was charged with one count each of assault and failure to comply with a release order. He appeared in court on Monday, police said.
