Wherever your loyalties lie, governments deserve thanks

It seems to be customary for politicians, especially at election time, to criticize the actions and comments of opposition parties.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been criticized, even had stones thrown at him, for some of his policies. But let’s remember, Canada and the world have faced unprecedented challenges over the last 20 months. In dealing with the pandemic, the federal government focused on the goal of protecting Canadians by providing CERB and other financial support.

The federal government also demonstrated it could work with opposition parties, not only on the federal level but also provincially. I believe the federal and provincial governments (speaking for Ontario) have done an excellent job of navigating us through these unprecedented times and deserve kudos and our thanks.
