Retreat to London’s newest hotel haven
The towering Pan Pacific London hotel is seriously dedicated to wellness
Can a towering hotel in the heart of the city bustle have the tranquilizing effect of a true wellness retreat? The newly opened Pan Pacific London aims to persuade the skeptical. The 237-room luxury hotel features interiors by acclaimed Canadian design duo Yabu Pushelberg, including a holistic health and wellness floor sprawling over about 11,650 square feet.
The dedicated space is more than a gym with all the hightech trappings, although yes, there’s that, too: Expect stateof-the-art equipment like the TecnoBody D-wall, a smart mirror offering real-time biofeedback if your idea of a vacation involves scrupulous training. For those preferring intense R&R instead, there’s an infinity pool with views over Bishopsgate, spa treatment rooms, a mindfulness studio, and a loungey drawing room offering a nutritionist-approved menu.
Should you prefer the quiet of your own guest room or suite (from $625), you’ll find it’s been designed for maximum peacefulness, with floor-to-ceiling windows, nature-inspired art and neutral colours. Italian marble bathrooms with Diptyque amenities and Dyson hair dryers are among the luxury touches.

In the most spacious accommodations, like the apartmentsized Pan Pacific Suite, extras include private butler service, your own study and dining areas, and panoramic views of London from the 19th floor.
The hotel marks the first Pan Pacific location in Europe, and as befits a company based in Singapore, the on-site restaurants specialize in Southeast
Asian flavours. At Straits Kitchen, you’ll find quintessential dishes like wok-fried chili mud crab and Hainanese chicken rice.
Over in the Orchid Lounge, enjoy afternoon tea with a twist: with bao, dim sum and choux.
Moody cocktail bar Ginger Lily serves up playful signature drinks like Bourbon Bubbles, as well as a long list of champagnes, rums and black, green and herbal teas — so you can partake in any feel-good tonic you please.
