T-Wolves fire GM, surprising Towns
The Minnesota Timberwolves fired general manager Gersson Rosas less than a week before training camp. Owner Glen Taylor, in the process of selling the team to e-commerce mogul Marc Lore and baseball great Alex Rodríguez, announced that the Timberwolves “parted ways” with Rosas in a terse two-sentence statement with no direct explanation for the dismissal after just two seasons. Executive vice-president Sachin Gupta was promoted on an interim basis. All-star centre Karl-Anthony Towns tweeted out a three-letter acronym for confusion after the announcement.
