Where Conservatives failed, the Liberal party succeeded

Re Was the federal election a waste of time?, Sept. 25

In June, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Parliament was afflicted by “toxicity” and “obstruction.” We watched the Conservative opposition exercise several tactics to delay votes in an attempt to polarize and render the House impotent.

Canadians had their say, with a clear mandate to continue following the agenda set by the Liberal government. And thanks to Jagmeet Singh’s NDP campaign platform, almost a mirror image to that of Liberals, voters’ expectations will come to fruition.
