VICTOR BLAND

Victor Frank Bland passed away peacefully, on September 23, 2021, at the age of 87, after a brief illness with cancer. Born in London, England, Vic moved to Canada in 1957. Upon arrival, he quickly developed a passion for playing the saxophone and clarinet, which led to distinguished and lengthy careers as a high-school music teacher and professional performer. Former students and band mates will fondly recall his remarkable expertise and lightning-fast wit both in the classroom and on the stage. In these places, he also continually demonstrated his unique musical talents and his total devotion to the old adage that the show must go on ̫ no matter what.

Vic is survived by his children Deborah, Steve and Susan, and his grandchildren Andrew, Nicholas and Sarah. In lieu of Љowers, donations to your favourite charity in Vic's name, would be greatly appreciated.
