Two dead after five-car collision in High Park

A 71-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman are dead after a multi-vehicle collision near High Park.

Police were called to the area a little before 5 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Road and Parkside Drive for calls of a multivehicle crash.

A Toronto police spokesperson said five vehicles were involved, beginning when the driver of a BMW allegedly travelling at a high speed “struck a southbound vehicle that was waiting in traffic, causing a chain reaction of crashes.”

Another man is reportedly in hospital with serious injuries, and two others are in stable condition with minor injuries.
