A Mississauga man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with an alleged Christmas eve shooting in Brampton.

Peel police have charged Eliazar Henry, 18, from Mississauga with attempted murder, robbery and other offences following an alleged shooting of a 24year-old man in Brampton on Dec. 24, 2020.

In a media release, police allege that Henry and a second male were involved in an altercation with the 24-year-old victim in a residence on Hubbell Road sometime before 5:45 p.m. Dec. 24.

Police allege the victim was shot at some point during the altercation and was then transported to a trauma centre while the suspects fled the scene.

Police said in the release they have a warrant out for a 17-yearold male from Brampton in connection with the incident.

Peel Constable Himmet Gill said Henry was arrested Oct. 16 in connection with the incident and held for a bail hearing.
