Witnesses sought in Whitby shooting

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 26-year-old woman was shot in Whitby early Sunday.

At about 3 a.m. on Oct. 17, police were called for a “disturbanc­e” at Kendalwood Plaza at Dundas Street and Kendalwood Road.

Police found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was take to a Toronto-area trauma centre with non-life threatenin­g injuries. There is no suspect descriptio­n at this time and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
