Bottom line

-

In the Apple versus Microsoft debate, it comes down to consumer preference. On one hand, Apple’s products are user friendly but require consumers to purchase the suite of products to fully benefit from the integration. On the other hand, Microsoft’s products operate on the Windows platform, which can be finicky, but the open system allows manufacturers such as Dell and Google to license Windows, which leads to a price war in the market. Windows products are better for consumers’ wallets, but Apple’s premium products are better for investment portfolios. It’s two thumbs up for Apple this week. The second one is in place of my arm and leg next time I make an Apple purchase.
