Inconsistencies in masking

-

Re Province urged to be cautious in next step of

reopening, Oct. 18

I find it quite strange that a person has to enter stores wearing a mask, which is a great idea to limit the spread of COVID-19, yet the vast majority of patrons at Leaf and Raptors games sit unmasked.

Why not mandate masks while fans are not eating or drinking and escort those out who do not conform, which is the vast majority from what I have seen?

If you don’t police your policy, then what good is it?

Being politically correct and doing the correct thing are different, clearly.

I agree with epidemiologist Peter Juni when he says to be cautious in the next step of reopening.

My question is why they chose to open the largest venues before restaurants and gyms?

One Leafs’ game has the same number of people as hundreds of restaurants and gyms open at the same time.

It seems like the smaller businesses once again didn’t have a vocal enough lobby group to cut through Doug Ford’s carnival of chaos.
