LESSONS FROM REAL LIFE

-

The janitor who became a multi-millionaire.

You’ve probably never heard of Ronald Read. He didn’t invent the latest cell phone technology or make a fortune running his own company. He was a janitor and gas station attendant from Vermont. But by the time he died, he had amassed a fortune of $8 million—most of which he left to his local library and hospital.

Read never earned much money, but he lived simply and invested a good portion of his earnings. Which brings us to the point: even small savings add up over time. Begin the savings habit early and you too could be rich (or at least financially set).
