End to measures confines elderly to a life indoors

-

Provinces begin to lift restrictions, Feb. 9

I agree that things must open up; people are too frustrated because their lives are so restricted without the ability to join with others at games, theatres, restaurants and bars. With vaccines, it seems this can be done safely for most people.

However, if at the same time, the mandates for masks and vaccination are removed, I can’t imagine a time when I, as a person at the stage of life considered vunerable, will ever be able to leave my house.

Do politicians and the public want to condemn a whole generation and other vulnerable groups of society, to a life without the pleasures that they themselves are demanding as their human rights? Elizabeth Guthrie, Toronto
