HARVEY Y. LEWIS, M. D.

November 22, 1929 - March 29, 2022

-

With sadness and love we said goodbye to our father, Zaide, and friend.

Generous, loving, great sense of humor with a sparkle in his eyes, mystery reader, sailor, world traveller, pistachio a cionado, and more.

Harvey Lewis, beloved husband and true life partner of the late Pauline Lewis. Wonderful father to Karen Lewis, Sherry Lewis ( and Peter Clark), and Gail ( and Mark) Kutner.

Very special and loved Zaide to Brian Lewis- Clark, Eric LewisClark, Mel Kutner ( and Melissa Eastlake), Seth and ( Maddy) Kutner. Great- grandfather to Barrett Kutner and Logan Kutner.

Our Dad was in his happy place at "The Cottage" on Lake of Bays enjoying visits from family and friends, as well time together with Pauline. They created a warm and inviting year- round home welcoming to all, amidst the beauty of Muskoka.

At the cottage Harvey set up a workshop building to- scale detailed and beautiful historic boat models from scratch, which are still much admired by all.

Family came rst and foremost. He always gured out a way to be there and make us the priorities. Growing up we always had dinner together in order to reconnect after each of our days.

When the grandkids were born he was at a time in his life where he was able to truly enjoy being their "Zaid". They were the light of his life and had a very special bond with each of them.

They had many important lifelong friends both in Detroit and Toronto. Very special people, sharing so much joy together.

Professionally our Dad went through Medical School at University of Toronto and moved to Detroit to his job as a Urology Resident which was his Specialty. He was quite an accomplished Urologist, or as he would say, "plumber", practicing in Detroit for many years.

Our father, Zaide, and greatgrandfather will be very much missed and remembered.

He was a special one, very loving and much loved. We were lucky to have him for as long as we did.
