TROPHY TWEAKS

The NBA unveiled a slightly redesigned Larry O’Brien Trophy this week: The ball now tilts in a different direction, the netting is much more visible and the base is now round with two disks stacked. Also, the Eastern championship trophy has been renamed after Bob Cousy, the Western trophy for Oscar Robertson. And there are new awards for conference final MVPs: the Larry Bird Trophy (East) and Magic Johnson Trophy (West).
