Notes at the leaders’ debate? Let them wing it

Ontario party leaders square off at first debate of election campaign, May 10

Why on Earth would the organizers of the Ontario leaders’ debate allow any participants to bring prepared notes?

I thought the purpose of debate was to share one’s own knowledge and opinions on the subject at hand. All this format will reveal will be the sanitized propaganda of a bunch of pollsters and political hacks.

Ontarians deserve to be exposed to PC Leader Doug Ford’s confused thoughts and incoherent musings.
