Mayor: homeless need housing, not harassment

-

Homes, not guards, will help homeless, May 13

I am disgusted that Mayor Tory is misusing my hard-earned tax dollars to hire private security guards to monitor our parks.

The same dollars should, instead, be used to provide the services needed by people who are homeless. We need to build housing, not vermin-infested, disease-ridden “shelters.”

If homeless people are forced out of parks, where are they to go? Until the city provides the needed housing, Tory must not unleash the violence of police and “security” guards onto vulnerable people.
