When choosing who to vote for, don’t settle

-

Trading blows, May 17

The product of political debates is not ideal; the incumbents can promise whatever they want, but deliver whatever they decide is expedient. So they should be judged on what they did, not what they promise. On that basis, Doug Ford should not be re-elected.

I felt Mike Schreiner was head and shoulders above all other debaters, and from what I’ve read and heard, I am not alone.

Nevertheless, most people state that they will vote either Liberal or NDP as they don’t want to “waste their vote.”

This philosophy is counterproductive.

We should aim for the stars, not mediocrity.

Don’t compromise your judgment! Vote for the best, because we get what we deserve!
