■ Canada is through to the quarterfinals at the men’s world hockey championship after beating France 7-1 on Tuesday. The Canadians will face Sweden in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

■ PM Justin Trudeau says Canada Border Services Agency will decide whether Iran’s men’s soccer team is allowed into the country for a friendly match in Vancouver on June 5. Trudeau said last week that the event was ill advised. Canada is also set to host Curacao in Vancouver on June 9.
