‘Harry Potter’ show extended to end of year

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will make magic in To- ronto well into the winter.

Mirvish Production­s has re- leased a new block of tickets for the play, with performanc­es added Nov. 1 through Dec. 24. The new seats go on sale Mon- day at 9:45 a.m. — in honour of Platform 9⁄ at King’s Cross station, get it?

“Cursed Child,” which takes place 19 years after the events of the “Harry Potter” novels, makes its Canadian debut May 31 at the CAA Ed Mirvish Thea- tre.

The first “Harry Potter” story to be presented onstage, it has sold more than 4.5 million tick- ets worldwide, won a record nine Laurence Olivier Awards and six Tony Awards.
