Toronto has a lot happening this March Break. Here’s a sampling of what’s on.
Jurassic World: The Exhibition
Jurassic World: The Exhibition, which opened near Square One shopping centre in Mississauga last April, is extending its run until May 5. The 20,000-square-foot immersive experience, which is tied into the blockbuster movie franchise, lets visitors walk among prehistoric-themed environments and lifesize dinosaur replicas.
Toronto ComiCon
From Friday through Sunday, Toronto ComiCon returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (255 Front St. W.) for its 23rd annual event.
In addition to shopping, gaming and cosplay, the weekend will include celebrity guests.
For tickets and information, go to the Toronto ComiCon website.
Royal Ontario Museum
From March 9 to 17, the Royal Ontario Museum (100 Queen’s Park) is offering many new programs, including hands-on activities, live performances and kids’ workshops.
Community Skate at the Coca-Cola Coliseum
Bring your skates to the big community event this weekend at Coca-Cola Coliseum (45 Manitoba Dr.), home of the Toronto Marlies.
On Friday (2 to 5 p.m.), Saturday (1 to 5 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), visitors can skate for free.
Baking at Fort York National Historic Site
Fort York National Historic Site (250 Fort York Blvd.) is accepting reservations for its March Break baking workshops, where participants can enjoy a hands-on baking experience for a fee of $20 per family, which includes up to five individuals (with at least one adult).
