South Korea continues to bring next-level concepts to our small screen. This week, it’s a LOL-filled comedy in which a woman (Kim Yoo-jung) steps into a machine that turns her into the titular meat product. Hijinks, of course, ensue.

“How does a well-known actor commit murder in front of an audience of 1,500 people and escape?” So wonders secretary of war Edwin Stanton (Tobias Menzies) — and the rest of us, given the truly weird circumstan­ces around the murder of his friend, Abraham Lincoln (Hamish Linklater).

Andrea Riseboroug­h and Domhnall Gleeson play a feisty finance gal and sensitive scientist who start with a one-night stand, but then keep pining for each other over the years. Based on reviews, it sounds more cautionary tale than cute coupling.

Mmmm, all the tans and bright pastels and crystal-blue pools and Ricky Martin make us want to go on a sunny vacation, stat. Kristen Wiig stars as Maxine Simmons, a social climber who will stop at nothing to wiggle her way into Palm Beach high society and a coveted membership at its most exclusive club. This cast is as stacked as Dolly Parton, with Allison Janney heading up the ladies who lunch, and Laura Dern, Kaia Gerber, Bruce Dern and Carol Burnett pop up as well. Apple TV Plus

11. Homicide: New York

Dick Wolf’s empire grows more massive with the debut of a truecrime spin on his trusty formula of grizzled New York detectives solving tough cases. Five episodes cover five murders, as recounted by the cops haunted by them. Netflix
