Petrified puppy gone in a snap

Toronto Sun - - NEWS - BRAD HUNTER

A sicko science teacher allegedly fed a puppy to a snapping turtle in front of his horrified students.

Robert Crosland fed the cowering canine to the snapper last Wednesday.

The school said most of the students had left for the day.

Administrators were informed the next day of the “regrettable circumstance involving some of the biological specimens”.

Mortified students finked on the veteran teacher at Preston Junior High School and said he had been engaging in weird experiments for years.

Three students told the East Idaho News that Crosland also had been known to feed “guinea pigs to snakes.”

Crosland hasn’t been dismissed or reprimanded for his strange actions — which students say have been going on for years.

“He is a cool teacher who really brought science to life … I loved his class because he had turtles and snakes and other cool things,” one student said.

Why Crosland thought to feed a puppy to a turtle was a good idea is unclear.

It’s currently unclear what motivated him to act out the incident or whether the puppy was alive.

The school board said in a statement it would try to avoid incidents like the perishing puppy in the future.
