Raffles closer to relaunch

Toronto Sun - - TRAVEL - — Andre Ramshaw

Its very name conjures images of pith-helmeted adventurers and swaying palms, and now Raffles Singapore is one step closer to a grand reopening that promises to reinvigorate its timeless charms.

The hotel in the city-state has opened suite reservations (raffles. com) for stays next year, ahead of its official relaunch in mid-2019.

Alongside the newly restored hotel, old favourites like the Singapore Sling cocktail at the Long Bar, North Indian cuisine at the Tiffin Room, and the Raffles afternoon tea will be returning better than ever, according to hotel administrators.

The number of suites will be expanded to 115, and will include new amenities and technology.
