BUILD THE WALL

Toronto Sun - - COMMENT -

Re “Trump’s wall is not the answer” (Farzana Hassan, Jan. 11): Wow! Reading this column about Trump and his actions to build the wall he promised reminded me of what fake news and CNN are all about. When I read her derogatory comments about the president, it made me realize how the public only hears and listens to the left-leaning media, of which the majority are either Liberal or Democrats. This is a parallel in Canada also. When statistics can’t lie and they show the advantages of a barrier supported by all border guards and the Department of Homeland Security, you do not hear these facts from the fake news stories. Trump is not a smooth-talking elite nor does he come across like an erudite politician, but what you see is what you get. Transparency. He loves his country in spite of the crap spewed about him and has developed the strongest economy and jobs in the past many decades. Last but not least, don’t you wish we had leadership who would put their country and people as first priority instead of same old play safe by the rules of political correctness?

PATRICK MCCONNELL BURLINGTON

(Trump and Trudeau both have different styles, and depending on who you ask, it’s debatable who has been more successful. But Trump had better rethink his strategy to get the wall funded)
