HIGHLIGHTS: The Orca Podster is made for day hikes and short trips. The exterior is made from a Spec-Ops 840 denier double TPU and the inner Spec-Ops 210 denier double TPU, which is FDA food grade, BPA-free, and anti-microbial. Closed cell foam and EVA reinforcement in the lid base and back provides additional insulation, structure, and protection. Ultrasonic RF welding seamlessly keeps everything together and helps to enhance the performance. Ice retention is claimed for more than 60 hours in ideal conditions. An air release valve helps relieve pressure for ease of opening as the cooler is air and water tight.

TREAD’S TAKE: Conveniently sized for shorter day trips to help keep the weight down, while saving precious cargo space. The trio of grab handles are nice and sturdy, and the shoulder straps are padded for comfort. We found the back padding to be nice, as it not only keeps your back dry, but also prevents your body heat from touching the pack. The TIZIP zipper is leak proof, but also a bit tough to open and close. The Molle webbing adds functionality for carrying extra outdoor items like flashlights and multi-tools, but lacks any exterior pockets for storage.
