Volunteer workshops being held in Shelburne County
The Shelburne CBDC and four Shelburne County municipal units are offering workshops for any interested individual or community groups during the month of October.
On Oct. 3 at the Municipality of Barrington Administration Building, ‘Social Media’ will be discussed, with step-by-step instructions to build social media presence in your community.
On Oct. 10 at the Gunning Cove Fire Hall, ‘Money, Money, Money’ will be the topic of discussion. Learn basic budgeting, fundraising for success, keeping track and the goods on grants and other fund sources.
On Oct. 17 at the Shelburne Community Centre, ‘Board Governance: The Next Generation’ is the workshop title, where alternatives to current board models with a fresh approach to non-profit board governance will be explored.
The last workshop, ‘Running Effective Meetings’, will be held on Oct. 23 at the CBDC office in Shelburne. Learn the ground rules for effective meetings, conflict of interest, how to deal with sensitive issues and much more.
