CORPORON, Wal­ter Percy – age 98, Nak­ile Home for Spe­cial Care, Ar­gyle, for­merly of Sluice Point, Yar­mouth Co., passed away peace­fully on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 31, 2018 at Nak­ile. Born Septem­ber 2, 1920 in Wedge­port, he was a son of the late John and Modeste (Muise) Corporon. Wal­ter worked as a painter all of his work­ing life. He and Agnes had a large cir­cle of friends and they at­tended dances at the Le­gion in Wedge­port or Yar­mouth ev­ery Satur­day night for many years. They also en­joyed shop­ping at Frenchy’s. Wal­ter is sur­vived by his son, Martin Corporon, as well as by a grand­daugh­ter, Melissa and three great grand­sons. Aside from his par­ents, he was pre­de­ceased by his wife, Agnes (Muise) Corporon as well as by broth­ers, Ed­mund, Leonard, Al­beni and Al­fred; sis­ters, Julie, May and Mar­garet. Visi­ta­tion took place from 7 to 9 Fri­day evening with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskil­son’s Fu­neral Home, 29 Al­bert St., Yar­mouth. The fu­neral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Satur­day, Novem­ber 3 from Holy Fam­ily Catholic Church, Ami­rault’s Hill, Fa­ther Mau­rice Le­Blanc of­fi­ci­ated. In­ter­ment fol­lowed in the parish ceme­tery. Do­na­tions in mem­ory of Wal­ter may be made to Holy Fam­ily Ceme­tery.
