Thoughts for Food event Nov. 27 in Yarmouth
At NSCC Burridge Campus, presented by community health board
The Yarmouth County Community Health Board will hold another of its Thoughts for Food events, this one taking place Tuesday, Nov. 27, at NSCC Burridge Campus.
It is scheduled for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will take place in Room C181.
Billed as a chance to network, learn and advocate, the evening will feature a number of presenters who will speak on various topics.
• Jane Cunningham and Heather Baillie, public health nutritionists: Taking Action to Improve Food Access and Food Security: What’s the Evidence?
• Rekha Menon and Shauna Campbell: Yarmouth Roots Community Garden – A Progress Update.
• Kolby Mole: Slow Cooked Dreams.
Those attending the event also will have a chance to add their voice in support of a national school food program.
