Mi­nor hockey week­end re­sults

BAN­TAM AA

Wade’s Wire Traps Ban­tam AA Yar­mouth Mariners played one game at home this past week­end. They won 7-0 against the Western Val­ley Spar­tans.

Cameron Kerr lead the Wire Traps with 4 points – a hat-trick and one as­sist. Con­nor Prouty had 2 goals while Ben LeBlanc and Alex Barr each scored one. Cameron Brown, Jaden Kerr and Owen Fitzger­ald each had 2 as­sists, while sin­gles went to Jory Ste­wart, Michel Comeau and Alex Barr. Izaac De­veau was in net for the shutout.

This com­ing week­end the team is on the road for two games against the Truro Bearcats.

BAN­TAM A

On Satur­day, Dec. 1, Nova’s Finest Fish­eries hosted a league game against Clare-Digby win­ning 3-0. Scor­ing for the Mariners were, Luke MacLeay, Chase Perry and Dal­ton Sears.

As­sis­tance from, Caleb Long, Chase Perry, Luke MacLeay, Car­son D’Eon, Shawn D’Eon and Tyler MacLeod. In net was Tayvon Gabriel.

On Sun­day, Dec. 2, Nova’s Finest Fish­eries hosted an ex­hi­bi­tion game against Clare-Digby, win­ning 7-3. Scor­ing for The Mariners were Tyler MacLeod with 2, Riley Hub­bard with 3, Car­son d’Eon and Drew Gore­ham, each with 1. As­sist­ing were, Luke MacLeay, Caleb Long, Dy­lan Hat­field, and Riley Hub­bard, Drew Gore­ham had 2 as­sists, and Chan­dler LeBlanc with 4. In net was Brae­den Hip­son. Scor­ing for Clare-Digby were Brett Hall, Kaiden Long­mire and Avery “Chip” Gunn. As­sists went to Noah MacLean, Austin Walker, Ni­cholas Gaudet and Miguel DeJe­sus.

BAN­TAM A GIRLS

The Yar­mouth Sco­tia­bank Western Rip­tide White ban­tam A girls team played a pair of games over the week­end ver­sus Western Rip­tide Green.

On Satur­day they played at home win­ning 6-1. Jada Mack­in­non and Karli MacDon­ald each had two goals and two as­sists. Bre­anne De­veau had one goal and one as­sist with the other goal be­ing scored by Ocean Sears. Chloe Swaine and Court­ney Fitzger­ald each had an as­sist.

On Sun­day they were on the road win­ning 7-0. Ha­vanah Perry scored two goals, while Chloe Swaine and Carly Kini each had one goal and one as­sist. The other goals were scored by Madi­son Cush­ing, Karli MacDon­ald and Jada Mack­in­non.

So­phie Thi­mot was in net for both games. Sun­day’s game was So­phie’s 8th shutout of the sea­son.

MIDGET C

The Graham Con­struc­tion Ltd Midget C (Reigh’s) lost 3-2 ver­sus Aca­dia 2 in a league game. Scor­ing for Graham Con­struc­tion were Tyrese Gabriel and Jared San­ford. As­sists went to Nick d’En­tremont, Chay­ton Bartlett and Liam Fian­der. In nets was Lo­gan Lea­man.

A sec­ond game was a 4-3 win for Aca­dia. Scor­ing for the Yar­mouth team were Hunter Muise with 2 and Grace Spin­ney with 1. As­sists went to Do­minic Higby with 2 and Ash­ton Doucette and Grace Spin­ney each with 1. In nets was Liam Camp­bell.

PEE­WEE AAA

The Yar­mouth Chris Scott Con­struc­tion Mariners picked up 3 of a pos­si­ble 4 points against the vis­it­ing Truro Bearcats dur­ing NSMHL ac­tion this past week­end.

On Satur­day the home­town Yar­mouth squad edged Truro 4-2. Jared Pitman paced the at­tack with 2 goals and 2 as­sists. Jessica MacK­in­non and Koen Shand with the win­ner, had the other mark­ers. Daw­son O’Con­nell added a pair of as­sists, with sin­gle as­sists from Dy­lan d’En­tremont and Sam Hope.

It was a bit­ter­sweet fin­ish on Sun­day morn­ing as the vis­it­ing Bearcats found the back of the net short­handed with only 15 sec­onds re­main­ing to tie the con­test 3-3. Jessica MacK­in­non fired home a pair of goals, with Sam Hope adding the other for the hosts. Jor­dan Apos­tolof­ski, Max Darcy, Sawyer Long­mire, and Daw­son O’Con­nell picked up as­sists. Co­hen Stod­dard made 21 saves be­tween the pipes. Next week­end the Mariners will hit the road for a tour­na­ment in Antigo­nish. They will face Syd­ney, Antigo­nish, Cape Bre­ton West, and Strait Rich­mond dur­ing round robin play.

PEE­WEE A

The GPK Re­frig­er­a­tion Pee­wee A Mariners came away with two home ice wins this past week­end, de­feat­ing the Western Val­ley Spar­tans 3 - 0 on Satur­day and the South Shore Lum­ber­jacks 10 – 1 on Sun­day.

Top points earned for the week­end went to Blake Newell with 5 points, Ash­ton Samms and Drew Muise with 4 points each and Lu­cas Cot­treau and Sean-Phillipe Fer­nan­dez with 3 points each.

Brady Saulnier was in net for both games and earned his third league shutout for the sea­son.

PEE­WEE A GIRLS

The Western Rip­tide white pee­wee A girls were on the road for two games this past week­end. The first game was an 8-0 win against Metro West Force white and the sec­ond game was a 4-3 win against Metro West Force blue.

Goal scor­ers were not in­cluded with the sub­mis­sion sent.

ATOM AA

This past week­end the Sweeny’s Fu­neral Home Atom AA Mariners hosted 3 games against Truro.

On Satur­day the Mariners lost 7-0 and then tied 3-3. Mar­cel Jacquard had 2 goals, Parker Leblanc also added a goal. As­sists went to Max Gates, Nixon Ross and Parker Leblanc.

On Sun­day the Mariners closed out the 3 games with a 4-0 loss.

Ear­lier in the week the Mariners de­feated the Clare-Digby Ravens on the road Tues­day 4-2. Scor­ing for the Mariners were Lu­cas Cot­treau, Lu­cien Doucette, Drew Muise and Blake Newell. Lu­cas Cot­treau as­sisted on two Mariners goals with Alyre Richard­son and Damien Cot­treau also earn­ing one as­sist each.

ATOM B

Pink Star Barro Atom B Mariners played three away games the week­end of Nov. 23-25. In the first game, Lu­cas Cush­ing, An­dre Hill and Dana Hill scored. Fi­nal score was Yar­mouth 3 – Western Val­ley 0.

In Game 2 Parker LeBlanc and An­dre Hill scored. The fi­nal score was West Hants 6 - Yar­mouth 2. In the fi­nal game, Lu­cas Cush­ing, Brody Good­win and Dana Hill. As­sisted by Parker LeBlanc, Crofton MacAlpine and Jake San­ford. Fi­nal score was South Shore 5 – Yar­mouth 3.

The Mariners also played on Dec. 2 for a 5-1 win over South Shore. Scor­ing were Crofton MacAlpine (as­sisted by Brody Good­win, Tyler Suther­land); Parker LeBlanc (as­sisted by Jake San­ford, Lu­cas Cush­ing); An­dre Hill (as­sisted by Dana Hill); Lu­cas Cush­ing (as­sisted by Parker LeBlanc, Carter Amiro); Jake San­ford (as­sisted by Parker LeBlanc, Lu­cas Cush­ing).
