Bantam AA

The Wade’s Wire Traps Bantam AA Yarmouth Mariners travelled to Truro this past weekend to play two games and came home with four points. In both games, Truro could not put the puck past either goaltender­s Jacob Atwood and Izaac Deveau. Each recorded a shutout.

On Saturday, Jacob Atwood was in net for the 2-0 win. Cameron Kerr led the scoring with both goals. Jaden Kerr added an assist on one of the goals.

Sunday’s game resulted in a 5-0 win with Izaac Deveau in net. Goals were scored by Spencer Surette, Cameron Kerr, Orren Hatfield, Alex Barr and Owen Fitzgerald. Owen Penney had two assists, with single assists going to Seamus d’Entremont, Spencer Surette, and Jacob Matthews.

This weekend the Wade’s Wire Traps will be heading to Antigonish.

Bantam A

Nova’s Finest Fisheries hosted Acadia on Dec. 8 winning 4-0. Scoring for mariners, each with one goal, were Tyler MacLeod and Dalton Sears, with Drew Goreham scoring twice.

Assists were by Luke MacLeay, Isaac Richardson, Dylan Hatfield, Tyler MacLeod, and Chandler LeBlanc. Simon d’Entremont had two assists. Tayvon Gabriel was in net.

Bantam B

The Bantam B Sea-Ya Fisheries Mariners had a 3-game weekend with two games on Saturday facing West Hants in Windsor and Western Valley in Kingston.

In Game 1 West Hants took the win with a 6-1 loss for the Mariners. Wyatt Nickerson Scored the lone goal with assists from Jaleel Horton and Jesse Amiro.

Game 2 was at the Kingston Arena facing Western Valley. The Sea-Ya Fisheries Mariners came out on top with a 5-2 win. Scoring were Jesse Amiro with a hat-trick and assists from Toby d’Entremont, Jaleel Horton and Wyatt Nickerson. Landon Watkins scored with an assist from Coby Saulnier and Jaleel Horton scored with assist from Landon Watkins.

The Mariners’ home game was a faceoff against the Shelburne Flames. Yarmouth came out with a 3-0 win. Kaylob Doucet-Deon Had his first shutout of the season. Scoring were Christian Lowe, Jaleel Horton and Jacob Wyman with assists from Blake Lyons Jesse Amiro and Wyatt Nickerson.

Peewee A

The GPK Refrigerat­ion Peewee A Mariners came away with two home wins last weekend.

Saturday’s game was a 9-2 win over the Shelburne Flames. Blake Newell scored a hat-trick with additional goals scored by Alyre Richardson, Ashton Samms, Drew Muise, Boston Aldred, Sean-Philippe Fernandez and Connor Pother. Assists were given to Lucas Cottreau (3), Bryce Fitzgerald (2), Connor Pothier (2), Ashton Samms (2), Drew Muise, Alyre Richardson, Ryan d’Entremont and Boston Aldred.

Sunday’s hard-fought game saw the Mariners come out on top with a 2-1 victory. Lucien Doucette scored the game winner with assists from Ashton Samms and Ben Lyons, while Sean Philippe-Fernandez opened the scoring assisted by Ben Lyons and Lucas Cottreau.

The GPK Refrigerat­ion Peewee A Mariners remain undefeated in league play this season.

Peewee girls

The Western Riptide White peewee A girls played two games at home this weekend against Metro West Force White. The first game was a 2-1 win. Renee Olsen scored both goals and the assists went to Isabel Doucette, Kiersten Kenney and Kalli Goreham.

The second game was a 4-1 win. Renee Olsen scored two goals and Marissa Fevens and Isabel Doucette each had one goal. The assists went to Kalli Goreham, Katie Atkinson and Isabel Doucette. Chloe Surette was in net for both games.

Atom B

Pink Star Barro Atom B played two games this past weekend. In their first game Dana Hill and Parker LeBlanc scored with Andre Hill and Zander Garron assisting in a game that saw Clare-Digby with the 5-2 win over the Mariners.

The next game was a shutout over the South Shore Jr. Lumberjack­s. Scoring goals during the game were Jake Sanford, Myles Ellis, Andre Hill, Parker LeBlanc and Dana Hill with Parker LeBlanc, Zander Garron, Mateo d’Entremont, Tyler Sutherland, Carl Landry, Lucas Cushing, Andre Hill and Jake Sanford assisting. Zander White was in net.
