CHIPMAN, John Owen – age 78, Lake George, Yar­mouth Co., passed away peace­fully on Mon­day, De­cem­ber 17, 2018 with his wife by his side. Born Fe­bru­ary

23, 1940 in Yar­mouth, he was a son of the late Harold S. and Florence (Bain) Chipman. John was re­tired from in­sur­ance sales, hav­ing be­gun work­ing with his fa­ther at Harold S. Chipman In­sur­ance, which later be­came Chipman-Spears In­sur­ance, then Yar­mouth In­sur­ance Co. In his spare time he en­joyed do­ing pho­tog­ra­phy. He was a vet­eran of the Yar­mouth Fire De­part­ment, Nep­tune Com­pany and was also past pres­i­dent of the Bits and Boots Sad­dle Club, sup­port­ing the fam­ily’s love of horses. He loved spend­ing time with his fam­ily and play­ing with the fam­ily dog, Tyson. He will be for­ever missed by his fam­ily. He is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife, Shar­ron (Cann) Chipman, as well as by his chil­dren, Cara (Stephen) Jeffery, Yar­mouth; Shonda Chipman, Medicine Hat,

AB; Mark Chipman, Yar­mouth; Jana (Jim) Ur­banowski, Oro­mocto, NB; grand­chil­dren, Car­lie, Austin, Olivia, So­phie and Ni­cholas. Also sur­viv­ing is his for­mer wife, Margo Arm­strong. Aside from his par­ents, John was pre­de­ceased by his twin sis­ter, Carol “Jean” Chipman. In ac­cor­dance with his wishes cre­ma­tion has taken place un­der the di­rec­tion of H.M. Huskil­son’s Fu­neral Home and Cre­ma­to­rium, Yar­mouth. A pri­vate grave­side ser­vice will take place at a later date in Yar­mouth Moun­tain Ceme­tery.
