Park View 6 – Clare 5

With the Clare Arena closed due to repairs, a Dec. 21 game between the visiting Park View Panthers and the home Clare Loups was was played on neutral ground in the Bridgetown Arena.

The first period started with a quick 1-0 lead for Clare with a goal from Braden Trimper. By the end of the 1st period Parkview had scored 3 goals.

The second period score ended 4-1 in Park View’s favour. The third period started with a goal from Park View again, making the score 5-1 for the Panthers. It was then that the ESDC Wolves game started to change. Braden Trimper scored 2 more goals (giving him a hat-trick for the night) and Simon Muise scored 1 making the gap smaller with the game now 5-4. Park View pulled ahead 6-4. Then with only seconds left on the clock Simon Muise scored again for ESDC making the final score 6-5 for Park View.

Par-en-Bas 6 – Yarmouth 2

The Par-en-Bas Sharks hosted the Yarmouth Vikings Dec. 21. In a first period that saw Paren-Bas outshoot Yarmouth 22-4, the Sharks led by a score of 3-1. Yarmouth not wanting to back down scored a goal in the second period, only to be answered by a goal by Par-en-Bas to make it 4-2 going into the final period. Continuing to put pressure on Yarmouth’s Tyson Peters, Par-en-Bas managed to sneak a couple more in the 3rd to make the final 6-2. Peters played outstandin­g in net, facing more than 70 shots in the game.

Scoring for Yarmouth were JJ MacPhee and Isaac Moore. Scoring for Par-en-Bas was Brennan Smith (2), Ethan Doucette, Yanick Cottreau, Miguel d’Eon and Hayden Young.

lare 9 – Middleton 1

The Clare Loups hosted Middleton at the Bridgetown Arena on Dec. 22 as the

Université Sainte Anne Arena was closed for repairs. The Clare squad won the game 9-1.

Scoring for Clare were Simon Muise, Miguel Dugas with 2 goals, Nathan Tufts with 2 goals, JeanLuc Comeau, Alain Theriault, Alex Dugas and Braedon Trimper.

Clare’s scoring was spread out with 3 goals in the first period, 4 in the second and 2 in the third.

Barrington 9 – Yarmouth 1

It was a hard ‘ole night for the Yarmouth Vikings who hosted the Barrington Barons at the Mariners Centre on Dec. 22. While the Vikings were first to score on a goal by Jared Minard in the first period to take a 1-0 lead into the second period, from there on all of the scoring in the game would belong to the Barons.

Scoring for Barrington in the second period were Jude Greenwood, Derek MaCarthy, Justin Smith, Tanner Bateman and Jagger Kane. Scoring in the third period were Maguire Nickerson, Ethan Shand, Jaeden Link and Shane Wyatt. The goal post was not kind to the Vikings as Yarmouth pinged one off the pipe during a scoring chance late in the game. Then again, the posts were very kind to the Vikings as three Barons shots were fired onto the iron, missing the net.
