Barrington 9 – Yarmouth 1

It was a hard ‘ole night for the Yarmouth Vikings who hosted the Barrington Barons at the Mariners Centre on Dec. 22. While the Vikings were first to score on a goal by Jared Minard in the first period to take a 1-0 lead into the second period, from there on all of the scoring in the game would belong to the Barons.

Scoring for Barrington in the second period were Jude Greenwood, Derek MaCarthy, Justin Smith, Tanner Bateman and Jagger Kane. Scoring in the third period were Maguire Nickerson, Ethan Shand, Jaeden Link and Shane Wyatt. The goal post was not kind to the Vikings as Yarmouth pinged one off the pipe during a scoring chance late in the game. Then again, the posts were very kind to the Vikings as three Barons shots were fired onto the iron, missing the net.
