Women’s Winterlude Trade Show Jan. 19
Presentations and workshops offered throughout the day
An event scheduled for Jan. 19 is designed to provide women with a welcome escape from winter.
This year’s Women’s Winterlude trade show at the Rodd Grand Hotel has at least 40 vendors signed up to provide visitors with a wide range of presentations and workshops on topics such as nutrition, travel, health, dance, beauty and spiritual medium readings.
Marlene Surette, chairwoman of the event, says this year they are focusing on entrepreneurs and are pleased to have the youngest entrepreneur in Yarmouth, who’s 10, at the show.
Among the most popular attractions at last year’s event were the free eyebrow waxing/shaping, gel nails and hair styling provided by NSCC Burridge Campus esthetics/ spa therapy and cosmetology students. “They did that last year and people were lined right up, they just loved that,” said Surette.
She adds the “amazing” door prizes, giveaways and exhibitor draws throughout the day were also popular.
Organizers will be presenting a $1,000 Young Women’s grant for entrepreneurs at the event.
Entry is $5 for the event. For more info email womens winterlude2019@gmail.com
