GOODWIN, Wil­liam (Bill) – of Kemptville, NS, passed away on De­cem­ber 31, 2018. Born in Yar­mouth, Novem­ber 17, 1928, son of the late Wil­liam and Blanche (Ring) Goodwin. Bill is the last sur­viv­ing mem­ber of his im­me­di­ate fam­ily. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 68 years, Gla­dys (Mood); son,

Rick (Paulette) Goodwin, Kemptville; daugh­ters, Sh­eryl Spin­ney, Yar­mouth and V. Na­dine Comeau, For­est Glen. He leaves be­hind 7 grand­chil­dren, 11 great-grand­chil­dren along with sev­eral nieces and neph­ews. He was pre­de­ceased by sis­ter, Lil­lian Wood­burn, brother, Bradford and grand­son, Tyler E. Allen. He worked most of his life in the woods. Bill was a care-taker and guide at Birch­dale Camp Ltd and also worked for Vic Bain Log­ging Op­er­a­tion for a num­ber of years. Af­ter re­tir­ing he en­joyed tak­ing his trac­tor to his wood lot cut­ting logs and fire­wood. He also en­joyed deer hunt­ing and fish­ing. He was a mem­ber of Vic­tory Bap­tist Church, Kemptville. Cre­ma­tion has taken place by Sweeny’s Fu­neral Home and Cre­ma­to­rium, Yar­mouth. Church ser­vice took place at Vic­tory Bap­tist Church, Satur­day, Jan­uary 5, 2019 at 2 P.M., Pas­tor Joey Ring of­fi­ci­ated. A pri­vate fam­ily com­mit­tal ser­vice will take place at a later date in Lake View Ceme­tery, Kemptville.
