PERRY, Franklin “Frank” Lloyd – age 67, Yar­mouth, passed away un­ex­pect­edly on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 29, 2018 at home. Born Septem­ber 19, 1951 on Stoney Is­land, Shel­burne Co., he was the son of the late Locke and Gertrude Quin­lan and the adop­tive son of the late Lloyd and Gertrude Perry. Frank be­gan work­ing as a fish­er­man, but quickly dis­cov­ered that he didn’t have the sea legs that it took to do the job, and so he be­came a land­scaper, op­er­at­ing his own com­pany in Yar­mouth, Perry’s Lawn Care. Frank’s pas­sion was dogs, and his loyal furry friend Brooke Doo­dle will miss him ter­ri­bly. He also loved cars and had a col­lec­tion of more than 450 die cast cars at home. Over the last few years, Frank also en­joyed trav­el­ling across Canada with his niece Re­becca. He is sur­vived by a brother Jimmy Quin­lan, Shel­burne, as well as by spe­cial nieces, Re­becca Fudge and Beth Wide­man; great nieces and neph­ews, Morgan, Jade and James Steele, Hope and Wil­lie Field, as well as many other nieces and neph­ews. Aside from his bi­o­log­i­cal and adop­tive par­ents, he was pre­de­ceased by sib­lings, Bradford, Char­lie, Ruthann, Her­bie, Os­car and Don­nie-Wayne. Cre­ma­tion has taken place and a me­mo­rial ser­vice will take place at 3 p.m., Satur­day, Jan­uary 19 from Huskil­son’s Me­mo­rial Chapel, 29 Al­bert St., Yar­mouth, Rev. M. Alden Fells of­fi­ci­at­ing. A re­cep­tion will fol­low at the HOPE Cen­tre in Yar­mouth. In­ter­ment will take place at a later date. Flow­ers are wel­come and do­na­tions in mem­ory of Frank may be made to the Nova Sco­tia Heart and Stroke Foun­da­tion.
