Clark’s Harbour levee kicks off 100th anniversary celebrations
This year the Town of Clark’s Harbour is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the town’s incorporation in 2019, and the town started the festivities with a New Year’s Day levee at Branch #148 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
People from throughout the area attended the event, which was a first for the town.
Musical entertainment by Nova Scotia Country Hall of Famer Jamie Cotter, special displays, a slide show of photos from days gone by, an anniversary cake and other goodies were part of the festivities. Town crier David Cleaver proclaims 2019 will be a year of festivities in the Town of Clark’s Harbour in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the town, at the New Year’s levee.
