Minor hockey game recaps

MIDGET C

The Graham Construction Ltd Midget C (Reigh’s) played Greenwood at the Mariners Centre in a league game this past weekend. The game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Scoring for Reigh’s were Dominic Higby, assisted by Chayton Bartlett and Jacob Doucette; and Jared Sanford assisted by Ashton Doucette and Tyrese Gabriel.

BANTAM A

On Friday, Jan. 11, Nova’s Finest Fisheries and Clare-Digby played each other at the Digby Arena ending in a 3-3 tie.

In Net for Mariners was Braden Hipson. Goals for Yarmouth were scored by Caleb Long, Carson d’Eon and Luke Macleay with assists from Dylan Hatfield.

Scoring for Clare-Digby were Avery “Chip” Gunn, Noah Maclean and Kaiden Longmire, with assists from Austin Walker, Avery “Chip” Gunn and Miguel DeJesus.

BANTAM A GIRLS

The bantam A girls Yarmouth Scotiabank Western Riptide White team played one game this past weekend versus Metro West Force Blue, winning 2-0. Goals were scored by Emily Crosby and Brandee Goodwin with assists by Jada MacKinnon, Ocean Sears and Chloe Swaine. Sophie Thimot was in net for the shutout.

PEEWEE A

The GPK Refrigeration PeeWee A Mariners came away with a win this past weekend, defeating the Shelburne Flames 6-1 Saturday on home ice.

Drew Muise and Blake Newell scored two goals each with additional goals scored by Damien Cottreau and Lucas Cottreau. Assists were awarded to Ben Lyons, Damien Cottreau, Alyre Richardson, Boston Aldred, Bryce Fitzgerald and Lucien Doucette.

Scoring for Shelburne was Garron Goreham, unassisted.

PEEWEE B

The Charlesville Fisheries Peewee B Mariners were home for three games this past weekend. In net for the weekend was Miguel Surette.

Game 1 was an exhibition game against Western Valley, with Western Valley defeating the Mariners 4-3. Scoring for the Mariners was Gabriel Hideib, Blake Fish and Jack d’Entremont. Assists went to Brody Smith (2), Caleum Hines, Blake Fish, Luke Leblanc and Jack d’Entremont.

In Game 2 the Mariners defeated Western Valley 4-1. Scoring for the Mariners were Cohen Warner with 2 goals and Brody Smith and Dominick Hazelton. Assists came from Liam Surette (2), Charlie Gosling, Jack d’Entremont, Mason Legere, Gabriel Hideib and Caleum Hines.

In Game 3 the Mariners defeated the Queens County Cougars 9-1. Scoring for the Mariners were Brody Smith and Gabriel Hideib with 2 goals each, along with Charlie Gosling, Jack d’Entremont, Cohen Warner, Liam Surette and Dominick Hazelton. Assists went to Liam Surette, Mason Legere, Dominick Hazelton, Brody Smith, Jack d’Entremont, Gabriel Hideib, Rogan Pittman, Cohen Warner, Luke Leblanc, Maddox d’Entremont and Taylor Goodwin.

ATOM B

The Pink Star Barro Atom B Mariners played two games this past weekend. In the first game the scorers were Brody Goodwin, Carl Landry and Jake Sanford with an assist going to Parker LeBlanc. The final score of this game was Clare-Digby 10 – Yarmouth 3.

In the second game the Atom B Mariners lost to Western Valley 7-4. Mariners goal scorers were cMateo d’Entremont, Crofton MacAlpine (2), and Andre Hill. Assists came from Crofton MacAlpine (3), Andre Hill (2), Mateo d’Entremont, and Jess Churchill (2).

Zander White was in net for both games for the Mariners.
