People’s Party of Canada picks Chad Hudson as West Nova candidate
Hudson says he’s ‘proudly working-class, like the people I’m running to serve’
The People’s Party of Canada (PPC) has officially nominated Chad Hudson as the party’s candidate in the riding of West Nova for the 43rd Canadian general election to be held in October.
Hudson, 30, grew up in Bridgetown, where he currently lives.
He has a decade of experience working in Nova Scotia’s tourism sector and has also worked as a small business consultant and in sales.
A People’s Party news release says Hudson is a proud workingclass person and son of workingclass parents who know their fair share of struggles and challenges, and he prides himself in not being a typical candidate for public office.
“I’m honoured to be representing the People’s Party of Canada in the riding of West Nova,” Hudson said. “PPC Leader Maxime Bernier’s commonsense, no-nonsense message represents the views and values of many Canadians across our great country who feel like the traditional political parties have ignored them for too long. The PPC is doing politics differently.”
Hudson says he is “proudly working-class, like the people I’m running to serve. I’m not wealthy, I’m not a lifelong partisan and I’m not a career politician looking for my next pension. I believe this background makes me better suited to represent the people of West Nova than my opponents.
“The People’s Party is committed to giving the people of West Nova back their voice and making government work for everyday people again, not just Ottawa insiders and their crony capitalist, big business donors. I think it’s time we take our government back from the insiders and send someone who actually understands our concerns and priorities to Ottawa.”
Besides Hudson of the
People’s Party, candidates in West Nova for this year’s federal election include Jason Deveau (Liberal), Chris d’Entremont (Conservative), Matthew Dubois (NDP) and Judy N Green (Green Party).
