MIDGET A
JStrong Yarmouth Midget A defeated Queens Midget A Cougars 3-1 on Friday, Jan. 3 at Queens Place in Liverpool, handing the Cougars their first loss in league play.
Scoring for JStrong were Kailen Saulnier, Alex Barr and Dominic Higby. Assists went to Chandler LeBlanc and Connor Prouty each with 2 and Nicholas Gaudet with 1.
Tayvon Gabriel was in net.
BANTAM AA
The Wades Wire Trap Bantam AA Mariners had two games this past weekend against Pictou on Saturday and also played Truro on Sunday.
In Game 1, the Mariners had a 2-1 loss versus Pictou. Scoring the lone goal was Chase Perry with assists from Riley Hubbard and Seamus d'Entremont. Brady Saulnier was in net.
Game 2 was a 5-2 win for the Mariners. Scoring were Seamus d'Entremont assisted by Dakota Ryer and Jack Atkinson; Jack Atkinson assisted by Dylan Hatfield and Seamus d'Entremont; and Cameron Brown, assisted by Nolan Saulnier. Dakota Ryer scored the last two goals with assists from Jack Atkinson and Russell Pinksen. Jacob Atwood was in net.
The Mariners had a 3-1 win over Truro in their third game of the weekend. Scoring were Russell Pinksen assisted from Riley Hubbard; Isaac Tunnicliff assisted by Nolan Saulnier and Luke MacLeay assisted by Carson d'Eon. Brady Saulnier was in net.
BANTAM B
The Yarmouth Nissan Bantam B Mariners travelled to Liverpool last Friday night for an exhibition game, losing to the Queens County Cougars 6-2. Scoring for the Mariners were Wyatt Nickerson unassisted and Caleum Hines assisted by Caleb d’Entremont.
On Saturday the Mariners travelled to Shelburne to take on the Flames. With a hard season against the Flames the Mariners pulled out the 3-2 win. In net for the Mariners was Kaylob Doucet-D’eon. Scoring for the Mariners were Jacques Deviller assisted by Jax d’Entremont; Wyatt Nickerson assisted by Jacques Deviller and Jax d’Entremont and scoring the winning goal was Cohen Warner with 1:22 left on the clock in the third period, assisted by Caleum Hines and Maddox d’Entremont.
PEEWEE A
The Charlesville Fisheries Peewee A Mariners hosted four games last week.
Starting Thursday night,
Jan. 2, the Mariners hosted the Shelburne Flames, defeating the Flames 4-3. In net for the Mariners were Adam Bowie and Zander White. Scoring for the Mariners were Damien Cottreau, Sawyer Kristensen with 2 goals and Maxime d’Entremont. Assists for the game went to Maxime d’Entremont, Carter Amiro, Rogan Pittman and Brody Goodwin all with 1. Declan Fitzgerald and Lexx D’Entremont each had a pair of assists.
On Saturday, Jan. 4, the Mariners hosted West Hants for two games. In Game 1 West Hants defeated the Mariners 8-1. Scoring for the Mariners was Maxime ‘dEntremont assisted by Damien Cottreau.
In Game 2 West Hants took the win by a score of 5-2. Scoring for the Mariners were
Sawyer Kristensen assisted by Declan Fitzgerald and Lexx D’Entremont; and Andre Hill assisted by Damien Cottreau and Maxime D’Entremont.
On Sunday, Jan. 5, the Mariners were defeated 6-4 by Clare. In net for the Mariners was Adam Bowie and Zander White. Scoring for the Mariners were Sawyer Kristensen with a pair of goals, and Damien Cottreau. Assists went to Declan Fitzgerald with a pair, Lexx D’Entremont, Maxime D’Entremont and Carter Amiro.
ATOM A
The Yarmouth Pink Star Barro Atom A Mariners played three home games this past weekend versus West Hants. In the first game, which was a 3-1 win for the Mariners, scoring were Parker LeBlanc with a pair of goals and Dylan Scott. Assists from Jake Sanford, Carl Landry and Jesse Churchill.
The second game ended 5-4 for West Hants. Scoring were Parker LeBlanc, Cullen Fitzgerald, Nate d'Entremont and Brody Brannen with assists from Nate d'Entremont, Brody Brannen, Myles Ellis and Cullen Fitzgerald.
The third game was 1-1 tie between the teams. Scoring was Parker LeBlanc with assists by Philip Richard and Brody Symonds.
Jarriyn Maxwell and Austin Stoddard was in net for all games.
ATOM B
Sweeny's Funeral Home played a double header against Queen's Cougars on Saturday at the Yarmouth Mariner's Centre. They win their first game 6 to 0 and lost their second game 3 to 2.
