‘Our team will continue to be available by telephone, email and tradition mail’
The Municipality of Yarmouth announced it would close its buildings to the public, effective Monday, March 23.
“The council and staff at the Municipality of Yarmouth continue to support the directives of the prime minister, Premier McNeil and public health officials,” the municipality said in a release. “Our role in responding to the pandemic COVID-19 is to do our part to ‘flatten the curve’ of the virus. As an organization, we want to do all we can to support our residents.
“Our team will continue to be available by telephone, email and traditional mail. Our public works team will continue to ensure the safe operation of waste water collections and treatment. Our partners at the Yarmouth Water Commission will continue to deliver reliable, safe drinking water. Services in the development office will be limited to telephone, email and mail inquiries.
“No on-site inspections will be performed beginning immediately. Solid waste collection will continue as per the calendar. Payments can continue to be made using on-line banking (through the chartered banks), payments, or by mail.”
