The operating season is scheduled to start May 19. The sailing season will begin with service four days per week until June 22, after which time service will increase to seven days per week. On Sept. 7, service reduces to six days per week with the season closing Oct. 10.

“Awareness and marketing campaigns for the ferry service will activate now and intensify as the operating season approaches,” Bay Ferries said in a media release.
“Bay Ferries' Safe at Sea Program – a series of measures developed since the start of the pandemic to facilitate safe travel by ferry – will be implemented on the service,” the release reads. “Customers will be required to comply with all current border restrictions and requirements imposed by the country of entry. These requirements will likely evolve between now and the start of the operating season.”
The CAT did not operate during 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID pandemic and the Canada-US border closure. It did not sail in 2019 because of construction at the Bay Harbor terminal.
