Triathlon Magazine Canada - - TRANSITION -

It might seem that knowing our best days are behind us can detract from motivation. But, in speaking with triathletes over 50, it turns out that the things that fuel our competitive spirit defy aging. Enjoying the feeling of being strong and fit, spending time with likeminded people and gaining confidence from attempting something outside our comfort zone continue to drive many senior athletes in training and racing.

So, the next time I hear the phrase “as you get older,” I am sure it will still annoy me, but now I know that with smart training, good coaching, fun training partners and athletes like Milos Kostic to inspire me, it will be a long time before I will need to hang up the goggles, helmet or running shoes.
