Mislawchuk Impressive in 2018 WTS Series

Triathlon Magazine Canada - - NEWS -

Tyler Mislawchuk has been rounding into some impressive form as the summer ITU World Triathlon Series has progressed. Just two nights after his beloved Winnipeg Jets nailed their first trip to the NHL Western Conference finals, Mislawchuk celebrated his best WTS finish in Yokohama, Japan. The 23-year-old from Oak Bluff, Manitoba kicked off the new Olympic qualifying period with a fourth place finish.

He’s kept that pace going, too. In June the Canadian Olympian took third at the Antwerp ITU Triathlon World Cup and, a month later, he netted another top-10 finish with an eighth at WTS Hamburg. An unfortunate DNF in Edmonton will hopefully not slow down his impressive run as he heads into the second Canadian stop of the WTS series in Montreal.
