The Sechelt, B.C., native was the only pro Canadian woman at the Xterra World Championship in Maui this year, where she finished 15th. Button got to Hawaii thanks to a season that included a win at Xterra Quebec in July, a week after she took fifth at Xterra Victoria. Heading into the world championship in Hawaii, Button took 11th at the Xterra Pan American Championship in Ogden, Utah.
